Fernleigh Paint Horse Stud is located near Byron Bay on the Far North Coast of NSW, Australia. The stud is committed to producing foals that will develop into versatile performance Paint horses with superb temperaments and colour, using carefully selected local and imported bloodlines.

In 2012 the Stud imported Nevada’s Smoking Gun (pictured above) from the Spotted Fawn Paint Ranch in Montana, USA. He is a 2011 APHA/PHAA stallion by Big Gunner (xThe Big Gun) and out of Venus de la Milo (Nevada Wardrum). 'Motown' as he is known is a bay tobiano, homozygous for the black and tobiano genes (EE TT Aa) and negative for all genetic disorders. Fernleigh Paint Horse Stud are also agents for the distribution of frozen semen of American Paint and Quarter Horse stallions. See our Sires page for more information on which stallions are available. All stallions carry a live foal guarantee, some stallions offer a live coloured foal guarantee. There will be a limited amount of services available for each stallion. To avoid disappointment you can secure your booking with a deposit of $500 (deductible, non-refundable).
